A blur

Things are not always as they seem.  Our eyes are weak from strain

Things can be moving too fast, our preconceived ideas can lead us astray, all of the above.

This is why it is so important to listen well, a thing I’m not very good at yet.

I’m learning, I’m seeking, but man, do I fall short most of the time.

I just found out that I fell short again, but not just me, all those involved fell short.

We all seem to paint worst case scenarios of each other

and best case scenarios of ourselves,  this has happened again in our situation.

FatherGod, we need your perspective, Only You see things clearly, as they really are

Only You know the end from the beginning, and everything in between.

Only you can tell us what is right, and good, and best for everyone involved.

We need You to take Your Precious finger and put in right on the pulse

right on the jugular vain, right on the heart of the issue

It’s all a blur, and we are so limited by our own points of view.

FatherGod, give us Yours, make us see what You see, Hear what You hear

Only then will we have the Truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth

And since this is what we want, we truly  need to say in conclusion…

So Help me God

THIS SKY IS NOT ON FIRE,

May truth prevail, and love triumph where we have failed

  1. sometimes I think it is a blessing that our vision is blurred – especially when it comes to seeing ourselves as we really are. God is mericful. Love and blessings and may each one come to see Him a little clearer today.
