Personally, we are…His!

Psalm 33

13 The Lord looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men;
14 From His dwelling place He looks out
On all the inhabitants of the earth,
15 He who fashions the hearts of them all,
He who understands all their works.

It is unfathomable that God should know me, care for me, see me, work so intimately in my little life…but He does.  Even more mind blowing is the fact that He cares this deeply for every single human being who has ever existed.  The Lord calls us all to salvation, but not all will heed His call.  He has gently reached out to every single one of us, tugging at our heart strings, revealing Himself in all that He has made, in creation, in the intricacies of the Human body with all it’s miraculous mysteries.

  Yet this Lord is Holy, and Just, Pure and Good.  And we’re certainly not.  We have all broken the laws of God, broken our promises, broken our own lives and the lives of others.  Something had to be done about sin.  And Jesus did it.  He did what none of us could ever possibly do.

18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.               (2 Cor. 5)

We are not only known by God and saved by His grace through Jesus Christ; but we are called to be His ambassadors, appealing to everyone we can, to be reconciled to God.  So personally, we are His, but we are also a part of this dying world.  People need to know about the Savior, People want to know about this Personal God, the God of Grace and Mercy.  His Word tells us,

Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him.
Thank You, Dearest, Most Precious FatherGod for your unfathomable Love and Mercy. Thank you for creating us each so uniquely, knowing us so personally, and calling us to be Ambassadors for Christ.  You have Kissed us with Your Grace, and called us out.  So away we go…in You.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope for His lovingkindness,
19 To deliver their soul from death
And to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waits for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart rejoices in Him,
Because we trust in His holy name.
22 Let Your lovingkindness, O Lord, be upon us,
According as we have hoped in You
