“What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows”. Matthew 10:29-31 (NLT)
There they are, my favorite little friends,
Twisting effortlessly in the beach air
Without a care.
Little sparrows, puffy, happy bellies
And soft wings.
Even the gulls must favor them;
For they don’t invade their space.
Pitched on nearby dune grasses
They seem to be showing off their liberty.
They know their freedom comes from their Master.
Their confidence is in Him;
They know He cares for and
will feed and protect them.
We are presented with one more
lesson from nature.
Be expectant, unafraid and assured
The Lord will cover you too.
Under the shadow of the Almighty
This is where we can dwell.
Abide, trust and relax;
We know He will provide.
Thanks. Carole. I was sitting on a bench on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk waiting for the kids to finish swimming. I watched little sparrows and seagulls bouncing about, looking for food.
