I asked God to speak to me this morning from His Word. I told Him I missed Him. I have been so distracted and busy lately, that I’ve only had small meals of time with Him and I was feeling rather hungry. My precious God heard my prayer and opened up the Word and showed me so much kindness and love. I don’t understand how people wouldn’t want to know Him. I think He has been poorly represented by some claiming to follow Him. But the only way to really know Him is to be in His Word and let Him speak for Himself. His Spirit leads us. He will put His finger on the areas of trouble causing a lack of intimacy, and we are to agree with Him on those in confession. His Word is full of love for His people. He says things like,
“I long to be gracious to you.”
“I wait on High to have mercy on you.”
“The Lord is gracious and compassionate
Slow to anger and rich in love”
And another beautiful truth from Scripture is:
“It is Your kindness, Lord, that leads me to repentance.”
God is good, He is so good
Even when the most evil things happen because man is depraved
God is good, He is so good
Today Lord,
Open our hearts to Your Word
And Your Word to our hearts
Amen and Amen
