All that matters

Woke up this morning sad, wondering what my life was for.  I’m in between stages. Kids are practically raised and gone, still paying for colleges, and trying to help the last one prepare to fly the coop.  Not real sure what lies ahead for me, just kinda lost.  I asked God to please show me a bit of my future, let me have a glimpse of what may lay ahead, just to encourage me a bit that He has not forgotten me.  I opened up my the e-mail from My Mom and this picture is what I found.  No words, just The Cross.  Jesus purpose was the Cross.  He was born to die for us.  I look at this beautiful cross and remember that, “Though my sins be as scarlet, Jesus has cleansed them all from me, and made me white as snow.  I am clothed in His righteousness, for I surely have none of my own.  I remember a verse from Romans, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, How will He not, also with Him, freely give us all things.” Don’t know that God has ever answered a prayer of mine so quickly.  He is all that matters.  He is all I need.  Of course I still have a purpose, I just can’t see it yet.  I am an arrow in the Quiver of God and He will reach back and shoot me forth into the world to bring light and joy and a message of affirmation.  That message proclaims that I am right smack in the middle of all that really matters.  I am God’s own child because of what Jesus has done.  I am filled with the purity and simplicity of devotion to Jesus Christ.  I come with one message only, determined to know nothing else among my peers in this world .   A message of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified for the Love of His life, mankind itself.  May any who read this turn to Him, I have lived a long time and gone through many things.  Beauty is fleeting, money makes itself wings and flies away, children grow up and out on their own.  The only sure thing about life in this world is that it changes, constantly.  But the One constant who never changes, who is the same yesterday, today and forever is Jesus, and He is all that matters.  Amen and Amen
