somebody bigger than me

Life can get so hard, I need somebody bigger than them

Somebody bigger than me,  as I stand in front of doors that refuse to open

as I keep dreaming dreams that won’t die, words that ache to be written

Pictures that appear in my mind, asking to be painted

or just put down on a piece of paper

expressions of life, signs of movement, evidence of inspiration.

but where man refuses to open,  Jesus says,”Behold, I stand at the door and knock.”

and where man hangs up the phone, God says, “When you cry out to me, I hear you, I answer,”

Where man says, “Sorry, we’re just not interested, “God says,

“Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened, ask and you will receive.”

so I’ll paint my pictures for you, God.  I am writing this thought for you.

I have my mind filled up with ideas that man is not interested in,

so can I give those all to You, Lord?

Hopes, dreams, pictures, paintings, poems, songs, vases and painted rocks.

I wish I could just open up the door to heaven and come in and give You all I have God.

Like the  song about a Stairway to heaven, can I climb up to You, Father.

O wait, You came down to me, to us.  You bridged the Great Chasm between us

You are the Stairway to heaven, Jesus, You are the way I will walk, the One I will turn to

You are never to busy to listen, never too tired to talk, never to weary to walk with me.

Thank You, God, I feel so much better, though I stand in front of another closed door,

You stand here right with me and say,

” I HAVE PLACED BEFORE YOU AN OPEN DOOR THAT NO ONE CAN SHUT.

I KNOW THAT YOU HAVE LITTLE STRENGTH, YET YOU HAVE KEPT MY WORD

AND  HAVE NOT DENIED MY NAME.  (REVELATION 3:8)

God,You are enough, You are always enough, always You are, and I thank You
