What a wonderful Bible study class we had yesterday. I love it when God just takes over the lesson and we learn so much from each others perspectives. We touched on subjects such as bullying, body image, parental influence, scars from our past, rejection, loss misunderstanding etc. It was so precious to see God open us up to each other and to Himself. We ended the class in praying for our loved ones first, using the Scriptures below. After this we prayed through it again for ourselves, using our own names out loud. What a blessing! Our world tries to define us and put labels on us. People sometimes reject us or discard us like an old worn out shoe, but God is never like this. God is our creator and redeemer. He made us and when we screwed up the world, He took it upon Himself to make a way to bring us back to Himself, through Jesus. God the Father sacrificed His own precious Son so that the children of His creative Spirit, could come back and be made one with Him. Only God has the right to define who we are. Only God really can, because if you are the artist, you define the work, Right? Yup, God is our artist and He made us each wonderful. I encourage you to pray through the Scriptures below, like we did in class. Pray it over your loved ones, yourself and even your enemies. God defines you, and God alone; and He thinks you’re so precious, He died, was buried and rose again for you. I’d say you and I are pretty special, wouldn’t you?
Psalm 121
vs 2” My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
He will not let me stumble
The one who watches over me will not slumber
Indeed, He who watches over your name will never slumber or sleep
The Lord Himself watches over me
The Lord stands beside me as my protective shade
The sun will not harm me by day, nor the moon by night
The Lord keeps me from all harm and watches over my life.
The Lord watches over me as I come and go, both now and forever
Deuteronomy 31:8
I will not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of me.
He will be with me, He will neither fail me nor abandon me.
BLESSED TO HEAR HOW ENCOURAGING YESTERDAY’S BIBLE STUDY WAS. i ALSO DO THIS IN MY BIBLE – PUTTING MY ‘ME’, MY’ ‘MINE’, ETC OR MY NAME. OF COURSE, WHEN WE ARE PRAYING THRU THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT BOOK, IT IS DONE ON A DAILY BASIS. HIS PEACE TO ALL. LOVE MOM.
