“I will lead the blind by a way they do not know,
In paths they do not know I will guide them.
I will make darkness into light before them And rugged places into plains
These are the things I will do, And I will not leave them undone.”
O Lord, I cannot see but one step ahead, and it scares me sometimes.
I cannot see what is around the bend, and when I look behind me, the way is shut.
I have no choice but to move forward,
but I am tempted to just sit this one out
I mean, what harm can it do, to do nothing, right?
and yet I can pray. Praying is not doing nothing.
Praying is waiting upon You, Dearest God, Praying is waiting upon You
I will wait for Your open door, and only then will I walk through it
For following You is not just about The Path, but about timing as well
Sometimes the door is closed, because the timing is not right.
So open the door in Your time, Lord, I will not force it open myself.
and so I stand at this closed door, looking for a way in,
but You are the Way, the Truth and the Life. So I will sit here
at Your feet, and wait with You, and I will listen Lord
I will just listen for You
and I will not move forward, until You Move call me forth.
