10 I will rejoice greatly in the Lord,
My soul will exult in my God;
For He has clothed me with garments of salvation,
He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness. (Isaiah 61:10)
Life gets crazy, doesn’t it? But there is a refuge, a place of safety, a Retreat…He is God. How much I take for granted this Great Salvation that God has provided for us. He has clothed me in His Garments of Salvation. He has taken my torn, sin-soaked and filthy rags and replaced them with His own pure, clean, and lovely shining garments. He has truly wrapped me with the robe of His Own Righteousness. I had nothing to bring to my Lord God, nothing that could be considered righteous in His sight; yet He provided a way for me to become righteous. He who had no sin, Jesus Christ, The Righteous One, became sin for me, for you, for any who will believe in God’s Beautiful Salvation. He took off my Robe of rebellion, of selfish ambition, of greed, of lust, of envy, of strife; He peeled off that filthy garment, washed me clean with His own hands, and then place His Beautiful, shining, gleaming, Robe of Righteousness upon me. God has done this, God is faithful. I have come to know and have believed the Love that God has for me, and there is nothing in this crazy life of mine, that can steal the joy and peace that His love brings. Do you know this Love, His cleansing love, His faithful promises? If you do, rejoice with me today and bask in His kindness. If you don’t, come to Him this day. Come to the Gate of God’s Kingdom, and ask for the Gatekeeper…Jesus Christ. He says, “Behold, I stand at the Door and Knock, whoever opens the door, I will come into him, and make my abiding place within him.” So open the door of your heart, your life to Jesus this day. It will be the greatest thing you have ever done. I have been walking with him for 4o years now, and even with all the loss, disappointments and sorrows of this world…He is My place of safety, My refuge, My joy. He can be yours too. Come and see.
