Your words were found and I ate them,
And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart;
For I have been called by Your name,
O Lord God of hosts.
(Jeremiah 15:16)
Lord, how dark the darkness was, and Oh how my feet stumbled
as I tried to walk in my own way. But You offered Your hand, and I took it
and suddenly darkness was light, and my ankles were strengthened
My mind was renewed by listening to You constantly, and my Heart was healed
It is a Continual work of Wonder, this Transformation
a continual, awe-inspiring Work of Wonder.
Like the Mystery of a Child knit together in his mother’s womb
so my soul yields, my mind heals, my heart softens
at the Words of Your Mouth, Dear God.
There are no words to thank You enough for this great Salvation
There are not enough tears of Gratitude that I could cry
I sit here amazed at Your transforming Love, Your Overflowing Grace
I sit here humbled, truly humbled that You even see me
and Yet You have called me before the Foundation of the World, to be Your own
to be Yours alone, and so I am, because of You
