Acts 26:16-18
16 But get up and stand on your feet; for this purpose I have appeared to you, to appoint you a minister and a witness not only to the things which you have seen, but also to the things in which I will appear to you; 17 rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, 18 to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’
Other worldly is the only phrase I can think of to describe what my husband and I, along with a team of a couple dozen other people, just experienced. We traveled to India to participate in outreach and sharing the Good News with those from a completely different culture than our own. You can’t get more different than India and the USA, and yet we had so much in common with our brothers and sisters in Christ there. There is a bond that Jesus creates among His People than cannot be matched anywhere else. I’ve always felt small and little, like I did not have much to offer to God for His purposes. But I gave God all I am, all I had, as insignificant as it all is, and He did a Mighty work through all of us. I watched a team of extremely different people pull together and accomplish a monumental task, travel great distances, and reach out to those who have been crying out to God and seeking Him with all their hearts,We shared the road with cows, stray dogs, pedestrians, cyclists, rickshaws, 3-wheeled taxis, buses, trucks and cars. The music that sounded throughout the city from about 6 a.m. to midnight were car horns. But when we reached our little remote villages, the joy on the peoples faces’ cannot ever be described in words, so let me show you:These precious and beautiful people love Jesus so very much and desire to reach their own people for Him.There are just no words to describe the treasure that these people are to me now. Each one is a precious Jewel in the crown of Jesus. So, Yes, I am so glad to be home again to what is familiar to me. But my life is now forever changed because I have gone, seen, been a part of and touched brothers and sisters in Christ in India. I feel like I had a taste of Heaven, experienced God’s promises first hand like never before:
A Multitude from the Tribulation
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; 10 and they cry out with a loud voice, saying,
“Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
For me now, Heaven has already begun. Thank You India, Thank You God
