Pictured here is An Alignment Page. It is what is required to be done before your printer will print out a copy for you, after changing the Ink Cartridges. God has gently let me know, just recently, that I have become “sloppy” about my faith-walk. He pointed out three areas that needed work. It reminded me of what happens when you have to change the ink cartridge in your printer. You can’t just change the cartridges out. It won’t print until you have done the alignment page to make sure everything is lined up just right for the printer to print properly. Once this is done, you will get perfect printings every time.
God was showing me that I need to bring myself into alignment in three different areas, and so I have already been working on all three. I have come to know that God loves me so much, that any changes He desires to make are always for my Good and His Glory. The Word of God will guide us into the deepest areas of our lives, places we don’t think anyone else sees. It will show us where we need to change.
12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
God only exposes and reveals these things to us, so He can set us free from whatever is holding us back from being fully His. God loves us too much to leave us in the state in which He found us. You see signs at parks that tell you to “leave it better than you have found it.” God is like that with us. He desires to grow us up into all aspects in Jesus Christ our Lord. So let Him, let Him speak to you about where you need to change and grow. Yield to what He says and watch the growth happen. It’s a Beautiful journey, all be it a difficult one.
14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. (2 Corinthians 2)
God will never fail to bring us into alignment, to make our gifts and talents work as they should, to manifest Himself to the world. It is we who do not cooperate with God, at times, when we won’t obey Him, yield to His guidance, and sit before His face often, to listen and learn.
15 For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; 16 to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. (2 C0rinthians 2)
So how about it, will you join me in listening to God about the areas of your own life that need to be brought into alignment before God? You will never regret it, and you will be free, like you have never known freedom before.
Love the analogy – so true!!
