First Things First

(Psalm 57)

I will cry to God Most High, To God who accomplishes all things for me.

accomplishes (BLB) gamar-1584= to complete, perfect, perform (Psalm 90)

17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.

Confirm (BLB) kuwn-3559= to be firmly established, be stable, be secure, be enduring.  To establish, set up, accomplish, do.

I can and do trust in the Lord My God to accomplish all things for me.  This does not mean there will not be effort required on my part.  Something worth having never costs us nothing.  But I must always put first things first.  Trusting God, following His guidance and direction.  Sitting in His Presence to listen and hear what He would say to me, these are all First Things.  I must fix my eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of my faith. (Hebrews 12:2) All other things are second things, none as important as the First.   Everything God calls us to accomplish  important, nothing is too big, nothing is too small.  His plan and will are often obscured, hidden, unknown to us.  But each thing we are called to do, has great importance in the Kingdom of God.  Every person we meet each day is loved by God.  Yes, even the guy tailgating me on the way to work (that’s a really hard one for me).  There are no Small Things in the Kingdom of God.  There are mustard seeds of faith, that God grow up into Beautiful plants, large enough to shelter birds in their nests.  So bring your everything to God this morning, every person, every task.  Lay them at His feet and ask for His Blessing and guidance to accomplish His plan through your life.  No task is too small, no person to far away.  God’s arm is not so short, His strength is unlimited.  He will accomplish all things for you.

17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.

Confirm (BLB) kuwn-3559= to be firmly established, be stable, be secure, be enduring.  To establish, set up, accomplish, do.
