7 The house, while it was being built, was built of stone prepared at the quarry, and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any iron tool heard in the house while it was being built. (1 Kings 6)
Not a hammer, nor the blade of an axe was heard
As God silently chipped away all that was not good
And slivers fell off, and wood chips tumbled down
God worked patiently, crafting me, changing me
What stood before Him, first of all,
was the mere stump of a fallen tree
My life had crashed into itself,
I had finally caught up to me, and knocked myself out
As I lay there, dazed and bruised, gentle hands lifted me
Carried me, to an Artisan’s lair
And there, away from the gaze of the world, He re-made me
He transformed me, piece by piece, inch by inch
And when the world once again gazed upon my form
They didn’t even know who I was, He had changed me so
God’s Silent, Inner Work had done its best
To re-make my life into a Masterpiece,
And He will do this for you, too, if you yield to His touch
Every Life is a Masterpiece, when transformed by the Master’s hand
*If God has you in a place of obscurity right now, Rejoice, and let Him do His Silent Inner Work in Your Life. Many lives will be blessed as You yield to Him. Be Still, Dear One.
He is still chipping away— thankfully. Love, Mom
