Encouraged Together

¹¹ For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; ¹² that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine. (Romans 1:11-12 NASB)

Encouraged together, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.  I love to be around believers who are excited about God, His Word, and His love.  I love to sit and listen to what God is doing in someone’s life.  God’s intimate knowledge of each of us is mind blowing.  I can’t even remember family member’s birthdays sometimes.  But God  is constantly caring for each of us, and when we tell each other our stories, we encourage one another.

Here’s an example; God knows how much I just adore the woodland creatures all around me.  My favorite animals are foxes and owls.  Just this morning, with my window open, I heard a fox and an owl outside.  I got up to go outside and listen.  That Owl had come from a distant neighbor’s yard, to hoot for me in the trees just above my shed.  I was as giddy as a little child!  God knows my heart so well. When we share with one another these intimate little blessings from God, we encourage one another to trust God in the big things as well.  Those overwhelming circumstances that we find ourselves inevitably entrenched in, throughout our earthly lives.  But just as God blesses in the little things, He also cares for our needs in the biggies.

²³ Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; ²⁴ and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, ²⁵ not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:23-25 NASB)

We can be such a blessing to one another, such encouragers in faith, if we would open our mouths to share the good things God has done for us.  Bless each other today.
