I brought home my tree from the old place where it stood
I won’t be there to work each day, anymore
Dusted it off and removed the old things
Replaced them with Nativities to recall His Grace
Star at the top to remind me He came
And the world, once languishing, never the same
Lights of all colors to remind me His hand
Created all things around and inside
A drum inspires worship, in this heart of fear
Reminding me Jesus is forever near
Wrapped gifts will tell of what forever is mine
He has found me at last and will transform me in time
A love come down to earth as a Babe
This love will not tarnish, give up, or fade
A place at the table in The Kingdom of God
And a shepherd for simplicity of heart and mind.
Yes, now I have Christmas in every room
The Inn was too full, but I will sing these old tunes
Of O Holy Night, and We Three Kings from afar
Merry Christmas, Dear Believers
May you be Blessed one and all.
So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. When they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart. The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them. (Luke 2:16-20)
Thank you for this beautiful poem. Wishing you A lovely Christmas season filled with blessings as we reflect on our savior.
