Poem By: Carole L. Haines (Hoping this will be my next song)
Lord God, be to me just like a waterfall,
I just need You to wash over me.
Wash away the lies of the world,
with all its demands that I prove myself.
Wash away my fear that I am nothing
Wash away the lies of a ruthless enemy
Living water, Living word
Pour through me now as I yearn
To feel the warmth of Your compassion
The affirmation of Your grace
The cool refreshment of Your mercy
I yield myself to Your embrace.
Lord, be to me just like a Pouring rain
Warm with the scent of Spring
Wash through these pores
clogged with fear and pain
wash me clean and make me whole
Living water, Living word
Pour through me now as I yearn
To feel the warmth of Your compassion
The affirmation of Your grace
The cool refreshment of Your mercy
I yield myself to Your embrace.
I want to seek you and find you
To search for You with all my heart
To climb inside You like a sleeping bag
In Pursuing You will I’ll find my Rest?
