Yesterday was such a fantastic day. We went exploring and snow-picture taking. We saw so many wide expanses of pure white. It was a vast, frozen and beautiful world, like a Dream World. We were driving around my favorite River, The Susquehanna. It was simply lovely. We saw sunflowers looming large over the snow. Their stalks towered, still solid, still strong against the wind. Yet their heads were bowed, as if in prayer, dropping their precious seeds into the ground. It was a sacred Natural scene.
It reminded me of this Journey out of Fear. All those sunflowers bowed, as if in prayer, reminded me of The Body of Christ. People are praying for me on this Journey, and I am praying for others. I find myself walking around with a lot more joy, with a smile on my face. There is an inner sense of contentment as I am learning to yield myself to God. What I sense from Him is that as I yield all this fear and doubt about who I am and why I’m here, as I surrender it to Him; He gives me a new view of myself, His View. It says in the Scriptures:
“Therefore, from now on we recognize no one by the flesh; even though we have known Christ by the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”
(2 Corinthians 5:16-17 NASB)
This truth has been mine since the moment I put my trust in Christ as my Savior. The Moment I confessed I was a sinner needing Him to be My Savior. This has been all mine, this new creature in Christ promise. But I am really learning to let that soak in. Letting it penetrate into my spiritual pores, hydrating my spiritual skin, nourishing my spiritual being, healing my soul.
Dear Believer, as you journey out of your own fears and into the Perfect Love of God. I pray for joy and contentment to rise-up within you, as it is rising within me. May His love be revealed within You, as you yield these long-held fears and lies to Your Loving Heavenly Father. May You be aware of the Gift of His perfect Love within your heart, soul, mind and body. So much so that You pour out onto other, His love, mercy and grace.I will close with this prayer from the Book of Romans for you all, Precious Children of God:
“Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus, so that with one purpose and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us, for the glory of God.” (Romans 15:5-7)
