Psalm 56:8-13
You have taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book?
9 Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call; This I know, that God is for me.
10 In God, whose word I praise, In the Lord, whose word I praise,
11 In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?
12 Your vows are binding upon me, O God; I will render thank offerings to You.
13 For You have delivered my soul from death, Indeed my feet from stumbling,
So that I may walk before God In the light of the living.
I do not know what each day may bring. whether joy, sorrow, sickness, healing, loss or gain
This I know, that God is for me.
Somehow, most days, that’s all I need t know. Other days, I wish I knew more.
I get frustrated with my own weakness, my inabilities, my faults and failings.
But then I remember the Character of God, He is Good, He is kind.
I remember all the faithful love shown to me in the past
I remember the promises for the future,
I remember that I am but dust, and yet He mixed this mere dust
with His own Living Water and made a vessel out of me.
Yes, indeed, this I know, God is for me, God is for me, God is for me.
and I fall asleep in the peace that passes understanding,
remembering, remembering, remembering…God is for me.
