No partiality

God doesn’t care how great a person may be.  He pays no more attention the the rich than to the poor.  He made them all. ( Job 34:19)

I spent way too much time and energy in my younger years trying to please people.  I wanted to matter, to be liked, to be significant.  I have found so much relief from this pressure as I have learned to adopt God’s view of myself and others.  God always sees things as they really are, no hidden agendas or preconceived notions.  God is just pure truth, complete honesty, total transparency.  I want to become more like Him.  I am becoming more like Him because I am choosing to see as He sees, hear as He hears, love as He loves.  Jesus spoke in terms that the simplest of minds could understand.  He always said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”  I love this about Jesus.  I became so discouraged and worn out trying to please the world, trying to be somebody that mattered.  As I adopt God’s view of myself and trust that His ways are true, His views are pure, I feel free.  I may never be important, in a worldy sense.  But God has shown me that if I do the small things that He lays out before me each day.  If I love those who cross my path, treat others with great kindness , He is just as pleased with me as He is with those He has called to do bigger things, like Billy Graham, Joyce Meyer, or Beth Moore. I fail so often, but i just ask His forgiveness and start again. If I can encourage just one person each day, give hope to another human being by how I treat them, than I have lived my life well. God has given me hope that I matter, that I am significant, and that he is pleased with me because I seek to do His will and to love Him, with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.  it is a simple life, but a good one, a really good one. God sees every face in the crowd and He longs for each one of them to Know Him and see as He sees.
