I take walks virtually everyday. I see reminders of God everywhere I look. I see His love for Beauty in a flower, His practicality in the way a bee drinks the nectar, yet pollinates the flower at the same time.
I see God,s wonder in the way that sunlight dances through the trees. I remember God,s sovereign control over everything by the seasons, by the sunrises and sunsets, by the phases of the moon.
Last night I was sitting out on my back porch at twilight. The sky was pink beyond the trees. I just lay there and watched the colors change. then the bats began to show up. first one, then two, three, four and five. All swooping, diving at seemingly nothing. Occasionally a bug would be big enough for me to actually see them catch it. it was fascinating.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” (Romans 1:20-21)
I am so thankful for how God is displayed in nature. He expresses His character through all that He has made. Who He is becomes evident when we reflect on the nature around us. But God didn’t stop there. He sent His son, Jesus, into this world to reveal who God is by example.”
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of [l]the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)
thank you God, for who You are
thank you for nature and how it reveals your character
thank you for Jesus, the word made flesh
I love You God, and I will look for all Your points of view as I walk again today.
Thank You, Father, for loving us so much that you let us know you
that You sent Jesus to be the one who reconciles man to God.
I want to know You more, Precious God.
More and more and more
In Jesus name
Amen
