5 Every word of God is tested;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
6 Do not add to His words
Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar. Proverbs 30:5-6)
I love How I never need to explain God to anyone. He is unexplainable, but not undefinable. I tremble at the thought of mis representing our Precious God, with the use of my own words. I try to always just be a guidepost, pointing others to the Word of God, instead of using my own words to try to explain things regarding Him. In the above Scripture, it tells us not to add to God’s Word. It also tells us that every Word of God is tested.
10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it bear and sprout,
And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11)
God’s word has set me free from so many fears, anxieties, untruths, etc. Anxiety threatened to undo my mind in my younger years. I was overcome by fear and worry. But as I have ceased to believe my own thoughts and instead have replaced them with His Words, His promises, His truth; peace and freedom and filled the voids and empty places that worry and fear had created in my heart.
I was young and now I am older, but i have never found God to be untrue to His Word, His promises; even in the deepest darkness of circumstances, He has always come through, true and lovingly caring for me and my loved ones. There is something even now that is so out of my own control, but I have learned to stop trying to control things on my own, and just keep giving it to Him in prayer.
33 Oh, the depth of the riches [a]both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! (Romans 11:33)
O Word of God wash over me, wash over me and bring me peace
Take all the fears and worries there, and just give me Yourself instead,
