Job 9:10-12 God does great things, unfathomable,
And wondrous works without number.
11 “Were He to pass by me, I would not see Him;
Were He to move past me, I would not perceive Him.
12 “Were He to snatch away, who could restrain Him?
Who could say to Him, ‘What are You doing?’
God’s character is so flawless, so beautiful, so right. Only God could have such limitless power and wield it in love. The Sovereignty and Power of God is equaled by His love and compassion. Only God can define Himself, only God can reveal who He is, and He has done so. Psalm 19 tells us
The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
2 Day to day pours forth speech,
And night to night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.
4 Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their utterances to the end of the world.
Romans 1:20 speaks of His Creative Power:
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made.
O, Lord God, we praise You for who You are, exactly as You define Yourself. Please correct us, Dearest King, where our thinking about You is wrong. Use us to reveal Your love and kindness to the world. Use us to be reconcilers of mankind to God, through the finished work of Jesus Christ. We love You, God and want to know You more, we want to know You as You truly are. Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see You and know You and Love you. Amen
