We are about to celebrate one of our greatest holidays in the USA, Independence Day. I just uploaded the “Patriotic” wallpaper to my desktop from Crosscards, I have my Red, white and Blue wreath on the door. I rearranged my potted plants so that they create a backdrop of Red, White and Blue, and I have my patriotic ballons ready to go. Gonna get a few ground fireworks and have the traditional family cookout. But as I was looking at my desktop wallpaper, I realized that, though the Statue of Liberty is such a beautiful reminder of our freedom, and though the fireworks, parades and cookouts are a great way to celebrate, only the words written across my screen were a true key to freedom.
John 8:32
And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” There is a lot more to that passage of Scripture, the prelude to our freedom.
“So when you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on my own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father has taught Me. And He who sent Me is with Me, He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him. And as Jesus spoke these things, many came to believe in Him. So Jesus was saying to those Jews who believed Him, “If you continue in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” (John *:28-32)
Precious God Almighty, thank You for the Price you paid for us to be truly free. Now enable us to do what You have taught us. Guide us to lift up Jesus, the Son of Man, in every area of our lives. Help us to learn not to speak on our own initiative, as Jesus is our example, but to speak the things as You have taught us. Enable us, Holy Spirit, to continue doing all the things that You have taught us. Make us fully and truly disciples of Christ Jesus and than we will know the truth and it will make us truly free. Inspire others to come to You, as they see us walk in love and in this glorious New Found Freedom, we have in Christ. Amen and Amen

I took the photo of this flag at Fort Flager State Park located on Admiraly Inlet near the Straits of Juan De Fuco in Washington State. This is where you went looking for sea glass, shells and driftwood when you visisted. The fort was built in WW !! to protect our area from invasion from Japan.
