Anticipating blooms

I was just outside watering my garden.  Every year I take one of those huge packs of “Wildflower seeds” and I spread them along this one long part of my garden.  I water them into the ground, over and over again, and wait, and watch to see what will come up.  I love doing this so much.  So far I have Pretty Pink Cosmos, Black-eyed Susans, Shasta Daisies, Poppies, and one or two others I don’t know the names for.  There is one plant, in particular, I can’t wait to see bloom.  I have never had this foliage show up in one of the seed packs before, so I’m chomping at the bit, anticipating the day when I will get to see these flowers.  They are in the bud stage right now, so I won’t have to wait long.
Walking with God is just like that.  We can see Him working His wonders in our own lives and in the lives of other people all around us.  We watch as He weaves His Beautiful Tapestry throughout the canvas of our lives.  Sometimes we recognize what He is doing, other times, we are just on the edge of our seats, watching Him work, waiting for the day when we will see those “Long-Anticipated Blooms,” appear.  And we will rejoice with Him, in His work.  I love God and how He works wonders in the Universe, in Us,and in the lives of people all around us.  I love how He uses us to accomplice great and mighty things we could never have imagined in our own minds.  God is just so mind-blowingly wonderful.  Knowing Him is absolute Joy.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him 10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him 11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, 12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians1:3-12)

Enjoy Him and His wonders this Holiday weekend.
