Prayer and Praise

Psalm 121

A Song of Ascents.

 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

Father, forgive me when exhaust every human effort to solve my own problems before I even think about turning to You.  You love me, and care about all that I struggle with.  This is hard for me to comprehend, Father, because I live in a world that cares only for itself, often among people who only care about themselves.  I lift up to you, this day, my cry for help, about these specific things ______________.

He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps

INSERT YOUR NAME

Will neither slumber nor sleep.

King Jesus, you have paved the way for my victory with your own Victory over death and Sin.  You are always watching over me, You keep me safe and strong in Your arms.  I thank You, Jesus for the incredible gift of Belonging to You and The Body of Christ.

The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun will not smite you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

We all know the refreshment that shade can bring on a scorching hot day.  The relief is absolutely palpable, you can almost taste it.  The temperature drops by 10-15 degrees in the shade.  Thank You, Dearest Lord, for being our shade.  Holy Spirit, Thank you for being the one called alongside us to help us in all we deal with each day.  We praise You

The Lord will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.

Holy God and King, You are my only true protection from evil.  Keep my soul from all that is wrong and compromising.  Thank you that you will watch over me this day, and everyday.  Both my going out in the morning and my coming home and Night.  Thank you that this is my heritage, and the inheritance of all those who put there trust in You.

We love and Praise You, O our Faithful God

  1. We who live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State have an especially interesting occurrence which happens here. As we head up to the Hood Canal Bridge on the east side temperature may read 85 degrees but as we are crossing it we can watch the car thermostat drop so that when we reach the west side it is 70 degrees – a trip that takes 3-4 minutes. The Lord also is our “bridge over troubled waters” – as you trust and focus on Him, your worries will also decrease. Blessings, Mom
