Hey…Let’s get our Praise On!

Parched, Dry, like this worn out leather. This is how Yesterday started out for me. My heart was weighed down with worry and fear. I was supposed to have a full day, but I needed to Go where I see God the Greatest, so I cancelled al my appointments, and fled like a bird to My Mountains. I have a friend who is going through similar, extremely difficult things. As we texted back and forth in the morning, she ended with the above listed phrase, “Hey, let’s get our praise on!” I needed that exhortation, that encouragement to lift my head above the circumstances of life and choose to trust God. He has never failed me yet, not ever, and I know He won’t fail me now!

The Thirsting Soul Satisfied in God.

O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly;
My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a dry and weary land where there is no water.
²Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
³Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
⁴So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
⁵My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.

⁶When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches,
⁷For You have been my help,
And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
⁸My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.

⁹But those who seek my life to destroy it,
Will go into the depths of the earth.
¹⁰They will be delivered over to the power of the sword;
They will be a prey for foxes.
¹¹But the king will rejoice in God;
Everyone who swears by Him will glory,
For the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped. (Psalm 63)

So here I am, at 2:00 in the morning, sitting and reading His Word by the dim glowing light of my computer. I am seeking the face of the Only One who can do something in this Powerless situation. I am praising Him in My heart. He is calming my worried heart with His promises and His Word. When things take, yet another turn for the worse, I have learned to turn to the Only One who can do something about it!

All to Jesus, I surrender, All to Him I freely give.

I will ever love and trust Him, in His Presence daily live

We’ve all heard the phrase, “all is right with the world!” Well I can honestly say that I don’t think I have ever experienced that feeling. There always seems to be something going wrong somewhere in my life. But Jesus Promised this, He said:

Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16″32-3)

TRIBULATION means: a pressing, pressing together, pressure oppression, affliction, tribulation, distress,

OVERCOME means: to conquer, to carry off the victory, come off victorious when one is arraigned or goes to law, to win the case, maintain one’s cause

So, Jesus, I am hard pressed, weary, worried and weak, but I praise You, that You have overcome the World and all that is in it, including what I now face. So let’s get our praise on, in the midst of whatever we are going through. He is faithful to provide the way of escape, that we my bear up under it.
