This Beautiful Heritage

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge, even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you, so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.               (1 Corinthians 1:4-9 NASB)

O how different our lives become when we begin giving thanks to God for one another.  How open and free we feel when we begin to see ourselves as God sees us, to see each other as God sees.  O, to have the eyes of God in every and all circumstances.  Lord Jesus, grant this to us, we pray.
Just look at this Beautiful Heritage we have in the Lord.  We are enriched in Him, enriched in our speech and in our knowledge.  We actually have something to talk about that is uplifting and encouraging.  We can help one another along with words of blessing, words that are actually real and true.  The testimony of Christ is confirmed in each one of us, and O, how we need to tell one another this.  Look at your Precious Brother or Sister in Jesus today and say, “I see Jesus in you, I see His ________.”  You fill in the blank.
Words like these can change a life forever.  We, as a Body of Believers are not lacking in any gift.  Let’s recognize the Spiritual gifts in one another, and tell each other so.  Here we are awaiting the revelation of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.   We are awaiting His return together.  Waiting rooms can be boring or they can be inspiring, depending on how we use our time.  Let’s use our time in encouraging and building one another up.  God will confirm each and every one of us, His Followers to the end of time.
We are blameless in the day of the Lord Jesus Christ, no sin, no shame, no fear.  All because of Jesus and His faithfulness.  O, Our God is faithful, and we have been called, summoned, invited into fellowship with Him, and with one another.  Let us enjoy this time of waiting on the Lord, and bring as many as we can, along with us.
The Bible tells us that they will know we are followers of Jesus by our Love.  Let us love one another, and reach out to a world that does not know Him.  Let’s invite them to come to Him with us. And they shall know the Joy of knowing Jesus, and being known by Him too.  O, Praise God for this Beautiful Heritage we have in Christ.

  1. Just the words I needed to hear this very scary day. My Mom is getting closer every day to her meeting with Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior. As I am writing this, I am reminded, that we all are getting closer to that time ourselves. Thanks Carole for the encouraging words that spoke to my heart this very day.
