“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” (Acts 20:24NLT)
I cannot honestly speak this statement as Paul speaks it here. My life is worth far too much to me in more ways than I care to admit. It is a glorious statement and I truly aspire to it, but it is not in me yet to be able to proclaim it. So, I come to God in prayer about this statement, the condition of my heart, and my desire for Him.
Lord, you know all things. You know that my life is worth far more to myself than I am willing to admit. But Jesus, I do declare now that I desire for my life to be used in finishing the work you assigned to me. Your Word tells me that I have been created with Holy Purpose.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”
( Ephesians 2:10 NASB)
I agree with You, dearest King, that there are works you prepared beforehand for me to walk in them. I declare the truth that I am Your Workmanship. I recommit myself to You today for that work, nothing more, nothing less, nothing else. I am Yours, Lord, use me up.
In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.
