“I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.
7 “Behold, I would wander far away, I would lodge in the wilderness. Selah.
8 “I would hasten to my place of refuge from the stormy wind and tempest.” (Psalm 55:6-8)
As I was reflecting on my own view of myself, I began to spiral down. Does anyone else feel tired from the mental battle for our thoughts. But God, My God interrupted those thoughts and spoke straight to my heart. O Praise be to our loving God. Here is what He said to me.
“Carole, You do have wings, My girl, you do have wings. Wait upon Me, my girl, wait upon Me.”
“ God gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.
Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength.
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. (Isaiah 40:29-31)
O Dear Believer. We have wings when we wait upon the Lord, We may have tattered wings, tired wings, weakened wings, but as we wait upon Him, He promises new strength; He promises increased power. My call is to wait, His promise is to strengthen and increase His power in me, in us.
O wait with me upon the Lord, Dearest friends, brothers and sisters. Wait with me upon the Lord. He has not forgotten you or me. We are the apple of His eye. We are in His thoughts. He intercedes for us. He promises that He is with us and will never leave us nor forsake us. All praise be to our Mighty God, who has given us wings as we wait upon Him.
