Heart Language

By: Peg Councill and Carole L. Haines

Have you ever needed to read directions to get from Point A to Point B? My daughters all tend to use GPS on their phones. We often need to find places we have never been before. This task can prove to be very frustrating. In a foreign Country, most direction pamphlets are written in at least three different languages. But what if your native language is not one of them. Suppose, like me, you don’t know how to really use a GPS, or are out of Phone signal range. What can we do? Where do we look to show us how to get from where we are to where we need to be? Or what if it’s not places but Life Situations we are trying to navigate?

God has given us His Word for the purpose of learning of His love and His guidance. The Bible is God’s Heart Language in communicating with us, His people. Yet not all the people who have trusted Jesus Christ have a Bible in their own language. Today there are more than 450-900 English Translations of the Bible. However according to Wycliffe Bible Translators, there are at present 128 million people who do not have any Scripture in their native tongue. This is their “heart language.” (Wycliffe Bible Translators)

Bible Translators today are investing their time and effort into translating over 2400 languages. Yet there are still over 1600 languages needing The Bible translated, so they can read God’s Word in their native tongue. Imagine the joy of hearing The Gospel of Jesus Christ and His love for you and understanding He has personal guidance for you.

Please Pray for these Bible translators who live and work in dangerous areas as well as for the families of those who have been killed in carrying out this work. The book of Revelation tells us that ” every nation, tribe and tongue will be there before the Throne of God.

And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth. And He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. When He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they *sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. 10 “You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.” (Revelation 5:6-10 NASB)
This is a passion God has put in our hearts as followers of Jesus. Reaching others from every tribe, tongue and Nation with The Truth of God’s Word and the hope of His Good News in Jesus Christ. To find out more ways to help, please follow the Link Below.
