WAITING IN JERUSALEM

I’m waiting in Jerusalem for power from on high
Weary of the questions why?
I’m waiting in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit
To descend on me and pour
Take hold of my life, Lord, a living sacrifice
My song, a fragrant offering
And in Hope my joyous heart will spring
While I’m waiting in Jerusalem
We serve a God not bound by time and space
Our bodies, His temple
Our hearts, His Holy place!
Bought by the Blood of His Amazing Grace
We rejoice to serve Him thankfully while we wait
And yearn to see
Him face to face
with heavenly footsteps in an earthly place
