Hebrews 10 For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near. 2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins?
I love that Jesus is the very form of what is Real and True. This world is ever-shifting and changing. It is dangerous and unpredictable. I, for one, need stability and to know that I have something that is completely reliable, solid, steadfast and unchanging.
Jesus, Son of God, Savior; your at that Thing, that Person, That One and Only. Thank You, Lord, that You are never a mere shadow, You are the Real Deal. You are more real then the keys I am touching on my keyboard this morning, more real than the coffee I taste as I write. More real than My precious husband, Bruce and My Three Beautiful Children. You are more real than the Sunrise that brightened the sky, illuminating my tree branches with its morning warmth. I have been truly cleansed from my Sin because you are the very form of things. You are the Word of God made flesh, come down to dwell among us.
14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.
And how do we respond to such a love, such a truth, to this Gracious Gift of forgiveness?
